Search Tips:

The way you search will affect your success rate. Firstly check your spelling, then try some of these tips before trying again:

Title Search:

• Try searching one or two keywords from the book title rather than trying to guess the exact full title. For example search on 'snowy' rather than 'the man from snowy river'



• Multiple words such as "Stress Testing" will return "Pulmonary Function Testing and Cardiopulmonary Stress Testing".



• Using partial words like "test" for "testing" will not work.

• A description search looks in the product's description for words that match your request.



• Try to search one word at a time such as 'soccer', as multiple words such as 'soccer rules' must appear immediately next to each other or they will not be found.
  
  

• Using the first few letters of a name will usually return the whole name.
  For Example : An author search for "shak, william" will return "Shakespeare, William".



• Try searching on author surname only, then if you have too many listing add their first initial. For example, 'lawson' and then 'h lawson' for all Henry Lawson books.

How to Buy

We have made every effort to make buying a book from our store as simple as possible. Use the search facility to look up a book and once you have found a title in the format you want to buy, click on the title and you will be taken to a page devoted to that title.

To place your order, Click on "Add to Bag". Once you have placed the item in your bag, you can choose to "Proceed to Checkout" or "Continue Shopping".


Checkout

When you click on "Checkout", you can review your purchases and if necessary, make changes to your order.

If you decide you don't want to buy a particular title and want to take an item out of your shopping bag, click on the "Delete" button next to the title.

If you want to change the number of copies you want to buy of a particular title, highlight the number in the "Quantity" box by left-clicking on your mouse, type in the number of copies you now require, and Click on the "Update Bag" button.

When you are happy with your order and are ready to purchase your items, Click on the "Proceed to Checkout" button.

If you are a return customer, enter your User Name and Password, and Click on "Sign In". Check that your personal details are correct. If you need to change anything, simply type the new information over the existing details.

Your new information will be saved automatically. Select the delivery option you prefer, and then Click on the "Continue Checkout" button.


If you are a new customer, Click on the "Create A New Account" button and enter the required information. This is where you will create your User Name and Password, which will enable you to shop in future without having to type in your personal details again.

When you have completed the form, select the delivery address you prefer, and then Click on the "Continue Checkout" button.

You should now see a detailed order confirmation screen. Check that the "Billed To" and "Shipped To" addresses are correct.

Select your credit card type and expiration date from the drop-down menus and enter your card number in the box. Click on the "I Accept" button.

Gift Wrapping

We are able to gift-wrap many of the books in our database at a cost of $3.00 per item. This option is located within the checkout procedure. Simply select the wrap of your choice and we’ll do the rest. If you want, we’ll even include a personal message.

Please note that if you have multiple items within your order and you require gift-wrapping, all items have to be gift-wrapped. We do not offer item by item gift-wrapping within a single order.


Availability

Availability of books generally shown once a book is selected. We will also endeavour to display the expected shipping time.


Back Orders

Occasionally books appear on the BuyAustralian.com site that are currently unavailable or out-of-print. An order that is not confirmed as a back-ordered item is automatically cancelled. We then send you an email stating that we are unable to fill the order.

Delivery Charges

Shipping Options

All books are shipped from our Australian fulfillment centre located in Sydney. Books are shipped via Australia Post. Books imported from overseas are imported into our Australian fulfillment centre by air freight.

Returns

BuyAustralian.com will accept returns of books with a delivery note, within 30 days of purchase. If you have no packing slip, please return the book with a copy of the order acknowledgement email you received on placing your order.

If you were given the book as a gift, don’t worry if there is no price on the delivery note, we can trace the amount paid. Returned items must be in resaleable condition. When returning items to our customer service Centre, please indicate the reason for your return on the reverse side of the packing slip and include the packing slip in the box.

For your protection, you may wish to send your return via insured parcel post. Please send all returns to:

BuyAustralian.com cannot pay for return shipping charges unless we have made a shipping error. All returns, including any credits applied for return shipping charges, will be credited to the credit card used in the purchase. We will make every effort to process returned items within 7-10 business days. Please note that it may take 1-2 billing cycles for your bank to post the credit to your statement.


Our Guarantee

We guarantee the book you purchase will reach you in good condition. If it doesn’t or you are not completely satisfied with it for some other reason, please return the item to us (within 30 days of receipt) and we will replace or refund the full cost of the book.

Shipping and handling expenses are not subject to refund unless the book was damaged or we shipped you the wrong product. If so, we will absorb the costs to send you the correct item. This does not affect your statutory rights.

• You can now view your past or pending orders. To get the details of an order, click on Order #. You'll be able to see which items have already shipped, when they were shipped, the method of delivery, and which items are still being processed.
  

• Click on the "Your Account" link at the top of the home page. This will take you to the Account Login page. Enter your User Name and Password and Click on the "Login" button.
  
  
• To enter new information, delete the current entry from the relevant field, type in the new information, and click on the "Save My Changes" button.
  

• Click on the "Your Account" link at the top of the home page. This will take you to the Account Login page. Enter your User Name and Password and Click on the "Login" button.
  
  
• To change your email address, enter a new one in the field provided. Please take a moment to double-check your email address. If it's not correct, we won't be able to contact you.
  
  
• To change your password, enter a new password in the field provided. Once you have made all your changes, click on the "Save Changes" button.
  
  We ask you to provide a password hint so that if you ever forget your password, you can just email us and we'll provide you with this hint.
